Program Target

　　The Program aims to cultivate professional music talents who have high capability both in skills and ideology, could meet the needs of China’s music development in new era. Through hard studying and practice, students could master the performance skills of one or two jazz music instrument, competent as member of a jazz band, do composition and play the instruments in a creation way.

Faculty

　　There are 45 teachers in this school, including 20 foreign Jazz Music experts. Among them, Mr. Izumi Koga, who’s the first Jazz drum experts introduced into China by National Foreign experts Bureau, Mr. Moreno Donadel, who’s an Italian pianist, composer and arranger, and other distinguished faculty members make a guarantee of teaching quality.

　　5 ensemble rooms, 100 practice rooms, 2 rehearsal halls and other facility shared with other departments.

Duration

Entry requirement

　　Reach 300 points in Chinese College Entrance Examination and pass the specialty Examinations required by BJCMA.

Where to Next?

　　Graduates are employed by Professional Music Band, Entertainment Company, high schools and music training school, or work as general business musician, performing artist, orchestra/ group member, floor show band. Some of them have achieved award in the Jazz and Pop Music Competitions in China, even in Asia.
