Yan Shiping, member of artistic voice group of Chinese Arts Medicine Association and artistic voice scholar returning from the UK, studied in Central Conservatory of Music and learned from famous vocal professor Wang Fuzeng and Yang Bide. She later studied and worked at Beijing Vocal Music Institute under the guidance of celebrated singer Zhang Yingzhe. After years of extensive research into vocalism theory and training method of pharyngeal vocalism system established by Lin Junqing, singer and scientist in vocal arts, she advances the brand new teaching concept that the important skill in vocal teaching and performance is to scientifically practise and utilize vocal cord. The skill’s scientificity is verified by her teaching practice later. Yan Shiping earned excellent researching and teaching award twice just during her 3-4 year teaching at CMA. Also, two of her students won golden awards at national and provincial vocal music competitions separately.
